Your Instructor
Sue Bobson MSW, LISW, received her B.A. in Psychology from Ohio Wesleyan University and her MSW from The Ohio State University.
I started out a medical social worker on the Child Abuse Team at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and created a treatment program for pre-school aged victims and their non-offending caregivers. As much as I enjoyed the clinical work, and had a brief private practice, I enjoy program development and management. I had the opportunity to serve as project manager and develop curriculum to teach Child Abuse Recognition and Identification to child care providers and teachers. That program "Keeping Children Safe" is the only State of Ohio approved program for teaching mandated reporters who are early child care professionals. I coordinated the Born Learning Parenting Program for the United Way of Central Ohio and provided outreach and education to parents. As program manager for the "Art of Positive Parenting: Father Factor", I led a great team that provided education to fathers with the goal of improving their relationship with their children and co-parent partners. I am currently a field co-instructor and teaching classes in the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University, and passing the torch to the next generation of helping professionals. Child Abuse is a passion of mine and believe all children everywhere should be safe
